Sinister Gaming Experience is a personal, noncommercial gaming community operated from Colorado, United States. This notice explains how the website and community game servers handle information. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
Information We Handle
- Website delivery and security: Cloudflare and our web server may process IP addresses, request times, requested pages, referrers, browser information, and security events needed to deliver and protect the site.
- Game-server operations: When you connect to a community game server, operational logs may contain your player name, platform identifier, connection time, disconnection time, commands, and technical events.
- Server status: Public pages display aggregate online status and player counts. We do not intend to publish individual player names through the website.
- Preferences: If you accept optional cookies, the site may remember selected game-server options in your browser.
- Optional analytics: If you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics 4 receives information about visits and device interactions so we can understand site use. Analytics does not load when optional cookies are rejected.
- Administrator access: Restricted administrators may authenticate through Discord. We process the Discord identity and authorization information needed to secure those tools.
Why We Use Information
We use information to deliver and secure the website, operate and troubleshoot game servers, prevent abuse, show aggregate server availability, remember choices you request, and measure website use when you consent. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Cookies And Your Choices
Essential website functions may use limited storage needed for security or administrator sessions. Google Analytics and preference cookies are optional. You can accept or reject them with the cookie controls below the site map and change your choice later through Cookie settings. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent access to public site features.
Service Providers And Other Sites
Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the site. Google provides optional analytics after consent. Discord provides restricted administrator authentication and is also linked as an external community service. YouTube is linked as an external video service. These providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention
Operational game connection logs are retained for no more than 30 days unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, a security incident, or a legal requirement. Browser preferences remain until you change your cookie choice, clear browser data, or the cookie expires. Infrastructure providers may retain security and delivery records according to their own configured schedules and legal obligations.
Your Privacy Requests
You may ask whether we hold information associated with you and request access, correction, or deletion. You may also withdraw optional analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings. Send requests to [email protected] and identify the relevant website account, Discord account, or game/player identifier. We may need to verify that you control the identifier before acting. Applicable law may permit or require us to retain limited information.
Age
The website and community services are intended for people age 13 and older and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Security And Changes
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and data minimization to reduce risk, but no internet service is completely secure. We will update this notice when our data practices materially change and will request new consent before using optional data for a materially different purpose.
